Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips is a Jamaican-Canadian preacher, prolific author, and educator heavily invested in institutionalizing Islamic education globally.
His classic work on theology ("Fundamentals of Tawheed") is widely used as a textbook. He is primarily known globally as the founder of the International Open University (IOU), providing accessible online distance learning.
